Why we changed: Engineering a new era with our clients

Change isn’t easy. But in our industry, where the human stakes are high and innovation moves fast, being open to change is essential.
Last year, we made a decision that would shape the future of our company: to do for ourselves what we have always done for our clients. We dug deep. We listened. Identified the problems and opportunities. And now, we’re reengineering our brand and business.
We spoke with clients, dozens of partners, and experts across the medical technology ecosystem. We asked where the pressure points were, what kept them up at night, and what an ideal partnership really looked like. The message came through clearly:
Healthcare is evolving rapidly and bringing challenges that are bigger than ever: tighter margins, rising complexity and the blessings and challenges of the unbelievable advances in technology, especially AI.
What clients need, what healthcare needs are strategic partners that move fast, think smart, and deliver without compromise. They want personalization, radical transparency, and a relentless commitment to getting the job done. Strategic partners who really think like a true extension of their team.
And they saw that in us. But our brand didn’t reflect it. After more than four decades as KMC Systems, it was clear we were at a crossroads, and change was needed.
That’s when we knew it was time to evolve. Not just our logo or website, but our entire identity and our business.
Today is day one of a new chapter in our story. The venerable 45 year old KMC Systems becomes HiArc.
This new name celebrates our uniqueness: We’re bespoke, high-end solution architects - ready to adapt and become exactly what the future of healthcare demands.
This is more than just a name change. It’s a mindset shift.
HiArc reflects who we truly are: high-end, highly adaptable solution architects—engineers who listen harder, think deeper, and build smarter. The name signals precision and elevation, but also flexibility. And it marks the beginning of a new chapter—one shaped entirely by the people we serve.
Because our clients aren’t just part of the process. They are the process.
That’s why our new guiding idea is simple and bold:
Engineered around you.
What doesn’t change. And what does.
What doesn’t change is our service ethos. We’ll still be the partner who solves problems others walk away from. We’ll still build solutions from the ground up, not off the shelf. The team that goes the extra mile for you.
But what does change is how we tell our story. How we show up. How we lean in as the most client-centered brand in the industry.
We’ve sharpened our vision. We’ve clarified our mission. And we’ve aligned every part of our business from design, engineering, and manufacturing—around one goal: delivering exactly what our clients need, the way they need it.
The road ahead?
This rebrand is just the beginning. It’s a call to action, for our clients, our people, and our partners. The world needs smarter solutions to increasingly complex and niche problems.
Healthcare needs transformation, and so we’ve launched an ongoing change management program, designed to ensure every part of our business evolves in lockstep with the needs of our clients and the demands of the market, and ultimately patients.
2026 is set to be even more transformative, as we prepare to launch a new product stack, expand our capabilities, and redefine true client partnership—introducing new processes like Pilot+ that make us more flexible, efficient, and collaborative than ever before.
Thanks to our clients and partners who inspired us on this journey of change and to all the people we will collaborate with in the future.
